Description

A rare 19th.Century metal and painted owl piggy bank. The original paint work is in superb condition with very little signs of ware and the owl with glass eyes. The underside with impressed marks stating "PATENTED SEPT. 21 & 28th 1880''. The lock/ opener also impressed "PATENTED FEB 2. 1875".

To Use:- Place coin on the owls shoulder next to the branch and as the small lever on the back is pressed down the owls head turns towards the coin which disappears into the money box. Size:- Height...7.5''/19cm. Depth...3''/7.5cm. Width...4''/10cm.
