The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 230, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Ankra name.
It would suit a man with a slim wrist or it could be worn by a lady. The case is gold plated and there is some surface marking but still very acceptable for an early piece. The large articulated lugs give the watch real character.

The slightly convex lens has two or three light scratches but they are not too noticeable at all to the naked eye.
The dial is signed Ankra (a German clock and watch producer), and it is in its original finish which is in lovely condition.
The watch has a later leather strap.
