A highly unusual boat-shaped solid sterling silver wax jack/stand.
Hallmarked on the side for Birmingham 1902, with the makers'' mark of B.T.C., which looks to have been stamped over another mark.
Boat shaped with gadrooned edging. The central wick holder has a cover attached by a chain to the screw-in cover of the paraffin/spirit hole. There are a pair of stands to either end and a looped handle.
It is in super condition, with the exception of a dent to the side of the hollow base, which has left a slight wobble.
