London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The top with a fabulous sheen to the burr mahogany is encompassed by cross-banded kingwood defined by boxwood and ebony stringing.

To the rear, flying gate legs turn out to support the fold over top that reveals a delightful 'plum' tooled leather interior – rare to find as most are baize and this one of particularly fine quality. The blind tooling dividing and defining eight segments around the perimeter.

A superior, well appointed example of some distinction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
