Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
This piece is smothered in wonderful marquetry of many exotic woods, plus well cast gilt mounts, escutcheons & feet. The marble top has a lovely colour & just lifts off. There is a single drawer at the top & three drawers below the flap. The flap pulls down to reveal a spectacular interior of small drawers & one cupboard. This piece has so many amazing features that I couldn't possibly describe them all, so please enlarge all the images to see for yourselves. The style is very much neoclassical & I would date it to around the 1920-30's period.
