Elegant Slender Regency Rosewood Sofa Table

Description

An elegant and slender Regency period rosewood SOFA TABLE in particularly fine and original condition.

The top is veneered in finest figured rosewood retaining its original warm colour and patina, and is inlaid with brass right round the leading edge.

Below are two oak-lined drawers (one to either side) also inlaid with brass, and it is raised on pretty vase-shaped "standard" supports leading to brass-inlaid sabre legs and original cast brass "Lion's Paw" castors.

The dimensions are most attractive: just 23ins (58.5cms) deep front-to-back; 37ins (94cms) wide (closed and 61ins (155cms) wide (with leaves up). A really gorgeous table which is highly recommended.
