Antique Victorian Burr Walnut Mirrored Back Chiffonier

Description

This antique Victorian walnut chiffonier comes complete with the original carved walnut mirror back. I think it looks equally good with or without the mirrored section attached. So, it's nice to have the option. The base section is burr walnut with some fine inlays. There are three cupboards, with arched mirrored panels & single shelves inside. The base section also has the original carved corbels top & bottom. It sits on a shaped plinth & it has the original marble top which is in excellent condition too. The mirrored section has a beautifully carved solid walnut framework & everything seems to be intact. This section just unscrews from the back & the marble lifts off, so it all can be transported quite easily.

This piece dates from around the 1860 period & is in good condition, having just been French polished.

Depth - 17.4", 44 cm

Height - 68", 173 cm
