A Five Arm Brass Chandelier

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1920-1940, this brass five arm chandelier has a decorative column with a rounded base and matching decorative finial.

Each of the curved brass arms hold large original drops and a glass candle cup and light. The chandelier has been rewired to UK specifications and fitted with new candle tubes. We think the glass candle cups were replaced within the past 25years.

The light measures 44cm in length to the very bottom of the glass drop underneath, and approximately 49cm across at the widest point.

The big crystal drops have been refitted with new brass wires to keep them in place, and they are made in a lovely quality, faceted glass.

We haven't attempted to clean the brass because our customers prefer us not to, but a gentle clean would highlight the details.

As we no longer sell through a retail outlet, it can be viewed by appointment in Surrey. Alternatively, if collection can be arranged from us and we will pack the light ready for collection and offer a discount on the price.

We may be able to deliver within easy reach of the south side of the M25. For delivery elsewhere, please contact us at lancasterantiques@ymail.com. Thank you.
