Description

A lovely Scottish Mauchline Tartanware thimble case or box covered in the ever-popular Stuart tartan, and retains it's little gold on black label identifying the plaid.

The tartan is all intact and in excellent condition. There is the original little brass catch to the front and once opened reveals the original lined interior and the original metal thimble.

Victorian in era, dating to around 1880. Excellent condition and measuring 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 1".
