Carved Elm Bench C.1900

1900 - 1920
Description

Charming Edwardian era elm bench seat from Brittany in North Western France dated c.1901. Superbly carved and pierced backrest with bobbin turned spindles, grape and vine detail, date plaque and a striking winged head at the centre. Shaped arms and a 2? thick solid slab seat on splayed legs. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
