The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It is working nicely and keeping good time.
The movement would probably have sat in a gold case originally but over the years this has been replaced with a custom made heavy weight case which would have been expensive to produce, especially as the watch has a pin-set mechanism.
The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver plated and it is in good condition, just a surface scratch and small indentation to the back.
The lens is in good order.
The signed enamel dial has a faint hairline crack between 12 and 1 but otherwise is in good order. Blued steel hands (initially set by way of the pin set mechanism), a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
