A Brass Wall Lantern

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1920-1940 this is a taller than average, brass, six sided hall lantern we have had rewired to UK specifications.

It measures 54cm in length, making it longer than most of this design, and at the widest point it is 24cm. The wall fixing holding the lantern is 11cm from the wall. We have a similar one for sale with slightly different proportions, see under our section of Selling Antiques - our item no. 1314

The light is in good condition, whilst maintaining the rustic look. Each pane of glass has a sunburst/flower etched in the middle, and the glass has the very slightest tinge of green which barely shows in real life, but is highlighted by the camera flash.

It takes a single, standard bayonet lightbulb, and a panel opens for easy access to the light source.

Postage and package within the UK mainland has been included in the price, but for outside areas, or delivery abroad, we will be happy to supply a quote.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
