Good condition with no major cracks or scratches. Two small blemishes on inside of lid and chips on calligraphy brush. The cover finely decorated with silver leaf and various gold lacquer techniques with a wild goose in flight over flowering chrysanthemum, the underside of the cover with a detailed riverside and pine forest landscape with done details of the torii, bridge and houses in gold leaf, the interior fitted with a similarly decorated smaller tray and also with a fitted inkstone and a kettle-form silver metal waterdropper and stand, the set also with a loose lacquered brush and case, the box 10." x 9.3"
