The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It opens with a push sprung mechanism. Both sides are marked inside with the 84 kokoshnik mark for Moscow 1899-1908 and maker's initials VS (as BC in cyrilic).

It measures 10cm by 7cm (excl. clasp) and 1.5cm deep. It weighs 114g/3.7ozt. Condition is very good: there are some light surface marks from use and a couple of small dinks to the back. The clasp operates perfectly and it closes fully flush.
