Description

A Superb carved gilt-wood Victorian Period antique sofa. Having an oval padded back support with a wonderful carved crest depicting love birds amongst flora. The open arms with padded arm rests and acanthus carved detail. The generous sprung seat of serpentine outline, supported on eight turned and fluted supports with ribbon and swag gesso detail with brass castors. English in the French taste circa 1880-1900

Dimensions: 77" wide x 41" high x 28" deep (seat height 15")

Condition: This sofa is in stunning condition, recently re-upholstered in a Zoffany arabesque silk
