Description

A RARE 16th Century English Panel Circa 1550 of a Cardinal Virtue "Hope" with the Anchor. The carving is stunning with little flowers cut into the anchor and the bird has wonderful carvings to it too. The heart has wings, the detail is simply stunning. It measures 23" high by 8.5" wide. Considering the age in very good condition with a few old worm holes to be expected from Walnut.
