A Rare Jupe Extending Table Waring & Gillows

A fine quality and extremely rare extending Jupe style round table by Waring & Gillows. This fabulous quality table made in the Edwardian period circa 1900 is constructed of solid mahogany having a circular top with banded edge above four numbered pull-out drawers opening to reveal leaf extensions.

Each leaf is taken from its satinwood banded drawer and unfolded and placed onto numbered extendable pulls around the table adding just over a further 15 inches to the diameter of the table.

The whole being raised and supported by carved legs of architectural form. One drawer being stamped 'Waring & Gillows' which is one of the most famous cabinet makers of this era.

In excellent condition boasting a wonderful colour having been gently restored using traditional methods. This fantastic table is extremely rare and the construction is quite something. A great item for collectors by the finest cabinets makers of the period as well as being very practical.
