George III Cheese Coaster

Description

A George III mahogany cheese coaster, the down-swept sides with scrolled ends finished with disc paterae joined by shaped and ring-turned handles. The dished body with a divider which can be moved to three positions to allow the accommodation of different sizes of cheese. The square base standing on four squat brass castors, with leather wheels.

H 6 1/2 inches; w 17 1/4 inches; d 11 inches.
