Rue des Fontenelles has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Bruno Juttner was the son of a bookseller and publisher. He studied at the art academies in Kassel where he was a student of Carl Holzapfel. He also spent time in Belgium, France and Holland.
Jutter served in Miliary service and in World War II his home and studio were destroyed. After the war he participated in various exhibitions, including Magdeburg and Halle der Salle. From 1946 to 1950 he was a member of the Artists colony of Werningerode.
His painting 'the Oyster Gatherers' is in a collection in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow. There are twelve of his works in the Harzmuseum Werningerode.
The painting is in excellent condition and is mounted in a simple wooden frame and is inscribed by the artist on the rear. It would benefit from being re-framed and mounted.
