Description

Oil on canvas signed by the German artist Bruno Juttner (1880-1965).

Jutter served in Miliary service and in World War II his home and studio were destroyed. After the war he participated in various exhibitions, including Magdeburg and Halle der Salle. From 1946 to 1950 he was a member of the Artists colony of Werningerode.

His speciality was matitime scenes, cityscapes and some genre pictures in a post-impressionist style. His painting 'the Oyster Gatherers' is in a collection in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow. There are twelve of his works in the Harzmuseum Werningerode.
