This is a fantastic quality French Louis XV Fauteuil. The hand stitched( not machine) tapestry serpentine fronted seat and oval cameo back in gros and petit point needlework which is of exquisite quality and detail. The whole raised on cabriole shaped legs with scroll shaped ends. The hand carved framed constructed from walnut and beech with a traditional sprung seat of generous proportions. C.1900. Measures 37"h x 26"w x 22"d ( seat 18"h x 22"d x 24"w). Excellent condition.
