Description

A superb superior quality 19th century early Victorian burr walnut inlaid card sofa lamp hall side table attributed to Gillows. The burl top centred by a maple diaper with inlays of boxwood. The concentric fiddle back maple border similarly inlaid. The base raised on a four pillar base to four sabre shaped legs. Unusually the base is also inlaid with trailing wheat husks into mahogany panels. Original castors with gilt bronze mounts to the frieze and base. The piece of furniture has been restored to the highest standards by qualified professional restorers to include a new baize. Excellent condition. Measures 36”w x 18”d x 29”h. Circa 1850.
