Waltham Traveler Half Hunter Pocket Watch & Chain

Antique Waltham Traveler half hunter pocket watch and albert.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Waltham Traveler name and the serial number dates it back to 1913. The movement is protected by a hinged inner dust cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the Star model and was made by the English based watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case is gold plated and is in good condition. The blue enamel Roman numerals to the front are a particularly nice feature. The small glass lens is in good condition.

The winding stem presses in to release the front cover. Inside there is a white enamel dial signed with the Waltham name and blued steel hands - note the special half hunter hour hand so that the owner can decipher the hour hand from the minute hand when the front cover is closed. The dial is in beautiful condition.

The watch comes with an antique gold plated single albert which measures 28cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
