Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.

It is made in solid brass, is a lovely rich yellow in colour, and weighs approximately 15 kgs.
The lamp was probably once an oil lamp and it has a telescopic movement. It measures 130cm when at the lowest height and 187cm at full height. The circular base has three paw feet and at the widest point measures 46cm across.

There are three decorative brass loops that curve over and form a type of shield design, then twist down and fit to the base with two round balls. See Photo 1.
It is in excellent condition with no signs of damage or repairs, and the telescopic movement works well. We recently had the lamp totally rewired by a qualified electrician to comply to UK regulations.

For UK buyers, the lamp can be seen and collected from Surrey, and we will offer a discount in the price, or we can deliver within an easy radius of Surrey/M25.
Alternatively, we are happy to supply quotes for courier delivery within the UK mainland.
