19th C Decanter Carriage

Description

A 19th Century silver-plated decanter carriage, the two coaters with scrolled leaf and gadrooned rims, and slightly-rounded side, enclosing ring-decorated mahogany centres. The coasters carried on a carriage with four wheels, each with broad rims, the spokes in the form of flower stalks with petal heads to the rims, joining at the centre with a flower head paterae. The front coaster steered by a reed shank and open floral cast handle.

H 5 1/4 inches; w 15 1/2 inches; d 6 1/2 inches.
