George III Walnut Corner Chair

Description

An Early George III Walnut Corner Chair, the back rest with a raised centre, swept down to broad flat arms, curving to rounded hand rests. The back rest and arms supported by vase and gun barrel turned front and rear columns, flanked by shaped and chamfered splats. The drop in rush seat held within rounded top rails, on a cabriole leg to the front, finished with a pad foot, and the other three legs of shaped and tapered form.

Excellent warm colour and patination.

Height 31 3/4 inches, width 28 1/4 inches, depth 25 inches.
