An Antique Waltham Traveler Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Waltham Traveler pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed American Waltham, USA, Traveler and it has the serial number 12,236,269 which dates it back to 1903.

The watch measures 53mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case was originally made for a Thomas Russell pocket watch but it has been paired up with the Waltham movement at some stage in its life. It is a heavy watch and the screw-on bezel and case back are nice signs of quality. The case is in lovely condition.

The plastic lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has a short faint hairline crack through number 2 but otherwise looks very good. The red 24 hour numbers to the perimeter are an attractive feature.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
