A west country oak rocking cradle or crib circa 1750 with peg joints and fielded panels. Turned rocker end posts and a hooded top.

A really attractive and functional piece of early english furniture.this type of item would have only been found in the houses of the wealthy.

These cribs are not common and can be used for holding logs for a large fireplace or.....housing a sleeping baby!etc, etc.

Width. 18 inches.

Overall height. 26.5 inches.
