Description

An impressive Bristol Georgian mahogany longcase clock. A flat moulded hood pediment with Greek key mouldings. Side glass hood apertures and brass capped hood columns. A long trunk door to the well proportioned case. A brass and silvered dial with date, seconds and strike/silent to the arch. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

Robert Rogers of Bristol worked at Wine Street from 1736- 1790. Some examples are noted in A J Moores' 'The Clockmakers of Bristol' book.
