Lovely George II solid silver 1 pint beer mug of baluster form on a stepped foot with double scroll handle with pretty feather moulded thumb rest. Hallmarked for London 1752, maker's mark partially rubbed but includes an "I" or "J" in gothic script. It has been attractively engraved to the front with a pretty detailed flower shape.

It measures 4 7/8" (12.5cm) high, 5" (13cm) handle to rim, 3 1/4" (8.5cm) rim to rim and 3 3/4" (9.5cm) across the foot. It weighs 396g/12.7ozt. Condition is excellent; no dents and very light surface wear for age.
