Japanese 19th Century Iron & Mixed Metal Onlaid Tsuba

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this wonderful quality iron tsuba (sword fitting) very finely onlaid in mixed metals including gold,shibuichi and shakudo , the tsuba depicts two puppies to the front in a tranquil setting and cleverly depicts a puppy to the rear facing into the decorated iron , fine detail throughout and although unsigned is clearly from a highly skilled school of tsuba makers.
Condition is superb with only minor age related wear !!
