It has a dual method of operation, allowing the pepper to be ground and then contained below for shaking out, when opened. The other option is for the base to be twisted to close and the pepper not released until required. The gauge of the silver is excellent.

Condition :- Very good, with no splits or losses. There are a couple of age related bumps to the body, but nothing serious. The mechanism works well and grinds to a fine powder.
