The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 23-ZS, which is working nicely.

The calibre 23-ZS movement was first introduced in 1948, as a replacement for the 10.68Z. Very few watch manufacturers were investing in new movements just after the War but it was felt that the investment was needed both in research and tooling to enable production on a commercially viable scale.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated with the generous 40 microns of gold plate. The case is in good condition. The winding crown is a later replacement. The stainless steel case back has the Longines name inside and out.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish and it has a good look with the raised Longines name and logo, cross hair detail and a subtle two tone finish. There are some small dots to the dial. Original hands and centre seconds hand.
The watch has a dark green leather strap with contrasting white stitching.
