A wonderful quality 19th century black forest type centre center table. This tripod occasional snap top Victorian sofa lamp hall tilting table is typical of the region the top oval in shape with marquetry panels of boxwood and satinwood inlay depicting stags with other animal scenes. The frieze like the base is extensively carved to a high standard and retains the original clip which allows the table to tilt. This piece of furniture retains a wonderful rich original patina and colour. Circa 1870. Excellent condition. Measures 36”w x 26”d x 30”h
