Description

Early 19th.c. Welsh longcase clock c.1820. Pine case featuring an fine hood with swan neck pediment and turned columns with brass capitals and bases. Enamelled arch top dial with lovely original hand painted bird and flower detail, date display and seconds dial. Signed for William Rider of Welchpool (sic) in mid Wales. Original 30 hour works, striking the hours on a bell. Minor wear to the face, otherwise very good condition. Working well, original weight and pendulum.
