This is a pair of superb quality, solid brass fire dogs probably dating from the late Victorian period.

They measure 39cm in height at the front; 22cm at the back and the length from front to back is approximately 23cm. The width between the feet at the front is 22cm.

They are really heavy weighing 2.3kgs each, and we have had them professionally polished but not lacquered. The flash of the camera has made them appear to have a greenish tinge - they don't! They are a beautiful, rich, yellow brass colour.
