Description

Beautiful little William IV mahogany clothes press c.1830. Just 46? wide and 71? tall, a two door cupboard top with two sliding shelves, on the original base with two short drawers over one long. Crisp moulded and crossbanded cornice over a fine pair of doors with superb flame mahogany panels, quarter bobbin turned mouldings and a crossbanded border all laid onto solid mahogany groundwork. Brass trim at the centre. Base has a larger repeat of the bobbin moulding around the top, flame mahogany drawer fronts and particularly good turned ebony handles with ivory centres. Raised on fine turned mahogany feet. Solid mahogany sides, with oak sides to the slides and drawers. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
