French Fauteuil Wing Chair in Louis Xvi Style

1900 - 1920
Description

A French Louis XVI Style Wingback Armchair, circa 1900, the carved walnut frame with original red velvet upholstery and loose seat cushion.

As with a great deal of French furniture the frame has traces of old woodworm, but has been treated. The velvet upholstery is faded and worn but undamaged.

Height of back: 112cm, Height of seat: 47cm including the cushion, 36cm not including cushion, 65.5cm wide at the arms
