Here we have this triple pillar dining table made of antique timber. A cabinet maker in the early 20thc. would have assembled the timber for this table from redundant pieces. He has chosen exceptional timber to give the most stunning look for the finished product. 100 or so years ago the country was awash with very large drop-leaf tables that were impractical or unattractive but had originally been made in wonderful timber. This product was salvaged and then used to make this and other superb dining tables in this very elegant manner.

As the tables were made from other pieces they often have unusual quirks and interesting features.

This table has a wonderful cross-banding (probably burr elm, although it is quite difficult to be sure as it is not the usual figuring. It may well be a rare exotic wood)

The table consists of 2 d-shaped ends and a centre section and then 2 leaves that join to make it fully extended. This table can be used without the extra leaves.

Like the top the bases have been made from antique legs and finishes with brass claw toes and with casters below.
