Large Mahogany Combination Wardrobe & Press C.1860.

Description

Impressive mid 19th.c. mahogany combination wardrobe and press c.1860. Full length hanging space either side of a central press cupboard fitted with three sliding shelves (which could be removed for extra hanging space) over a useful chest of three long drawers of graduated depth. Breakfronted, with a shaped cornice over four long doors featuring symmetrically arranged flame mahogany veneers of exceptional grain on solid mahogany groundwork. With applied carved scrolling and acanthus leaf mouldings repeated on the shaped plinth base. Original campaign style brass handles to the interior drawers. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
