A Beautiful Black Lacquer & Chinoiserie Edwardian Period Display Cabinet

Description

A Beautiful black lacquer and chinoiserie Edwardian Period antique display cabinet. Having a shaped top with a black lacquered frieze above a central bow front door with black lacquer ground and a wonderful raised chinoiserie panel depicting a temple with figures and birds in flight and opening to reveal a silk lined shelved interior. The central door flanked by bevelled glass sections again with raised lacquer detail depicting butterflies and floral detail. Having bevelled glass ends, the whole supported on six shaped cabriole supports with pad feet. English circa 1900-1910

Dimensions: 65.5" high x 18" deep x 54" wide

Condition: This cabinet is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Retaining the original silk to the interior. Minor staining to the silk shelves, minor fading to the gilding near the lock on the door.
