A lady’s Edwardian 14ct gold fob watch with 9ct gold chain

The watch has a stem-winding movement which has been fully tested and is working nicely. The nicely jewelled lever movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 35.5 mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold and has continental 14k hallmarks with the importers mark L.W (Louis Weill). The inner case back is gold plated. The outside of the case has beautifully engraved detailed with a vacant cartouche to the centre of the back and is in lovely condition.

The watch glass has a tiny nibble to the outer edge at 11 o'clock although hardly noticeable.

The white enamel dial has a small nibble to the outer edge between 7 & 8 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands.

The watch comes on a 9ct gold watch chain. Each link of the chain and T bar are stamped 9c and measures 23 cm long including the T bar and clasp. The chain is in nice condition and the T bar has some mild bruising from use but overall it is in nice condition for a piece of its age.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box stamped W G Stanbridge , goldsmith and jeweller.
