Description

Lovely piece of early Welsh country furniture in the shape of this wonderful little mid 18th.c. Montgomeryshire potboard dresser base c.1750. Superb inch thick slab top of ancient character with moulded edge over three drawers. With a cupid’s bow shaped apron across the front and raised on four turned front legs with shaped feet and joined with the original potboard display shelf. Solid oak throughout. Obvious old splits and shakes following the grain of the timber on the top board and signs of historic wood worm which has been treated and filled. Excellent colour and patina, later brass handles.
