Antique English Regency Jewellery Box - Cut Brass Star Inlaid C.1820

19th century
Sold by Puckerings
Description

A stunning and most unusual Jewelry box made from Rosewood and dating to the Regency period, around 1820. What makes this a special treat, is the stunning decoration created by a series of cut brass stars to create the most showy piece.

The box opens to reveal the original interior to the lid, the border made from gold tooled leather surrounding a yellow silk panel. The rest of the box has been re-lined with a hand-marbled paper, perfectly in keeping and creating a clean, fresh interior ready for use.
