Beautiful early 19th.c. Louis Phillipe era French marble top chest of drawers c.1830. Original grey marble top with rounded corners and a moulded edge over five long drawers. Exceptionally well figured flame mahogany veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the front which also features a moulded and crossbanded border, a shaped top drawer, wooden escutcheons and very attractive later handles. Figured mahogany veneered sides, shaped plinth and bracket feet to the front. Oak backboards, drawer linings and groundwork to the drawer fronts. With an old repair to the rear right hand corner. Otherwise excellent condition and a particularly good colour, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
