Description

An impressive French mantel clock of 18th century style. Choice burr walnut veneers with brass inlay and ebonised mouldings. Brass feet and surmounted by 4 finials and a handle. A brass chapter ring and spandrels to the fretted dial centre. Side glass case apertures. An 8-day duration mechanism by Japay Freres striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. Circa 1885.
