A Stunning Quality Mahogany Inlaid Edwardian Period Side Table by S.h Jewell

1900 - 1920
Description

A Stunning quality mahogany inlaid Edwardian Period two drawer side table by S.H Jewell. Having a solid mahogany top banded in satinwood and with a boxwood moulded edge, above twin rectangular oak lined bowed drawers, again cross banded in satinwood and with ribbon, swag and harebell inlaid detail and having circular gilded cast brass handles. The whole supported on four elegant square tapering supports again with marquetry inlaid detail and spade feet. English circa 1900-1910

Dimensions: 39" wide x 22" deep x 32" high

S & H Jewell were based in the Holborn area of London and were recorded as cabinet-makers from 1830- 1840, but as late as 1894 a billhead, stating that the firm was founded in 1830, was recorded for furniture supplied by the firm for Standen House, East Grinstead, Sussex.

Condition: This table is in superb condition, cleaned and waxed
