Victorian Silver Mounted Enamel Glass Scent Bottle, Circa 1890

Description

This is a very unusual and very pretty scent bottle. The green glass cylindrical body with white enamel vertical stripes. Mounted with a hinged silver lid, prettily embossed with foliate scrolls.

Hallmarks:

Lid unmarked but tested as silver.

Dimensions:

Height: 5cm / 2 inches.

Diameter: 1.5 cm / 0.4 inch.

Condition: very good.

One minor flea bite on enamel decoration, barely noticeable and commensurate with age.

Glass in the inner neck in good condition, no cracks.

No holes to the lid.

Snaps shut nicely.
