Georgian Silver Filigree Tape Measure, Circa 1820

Description

This exquisite Georgian silver tape measure dates circa 1820. The filigree work is very delicate and the winding mechanism fully functioning. The pink silk tape unwinds to a length of 15 inches / 37 cm by being holding onto the side of the tape measure and pulling gently on the tape extremity. It can be wound back by turning the top cover clockwise.

Hallmarks:

Unmarked as is practically always the case with filigree items, but tested as silver.

Dimensions:

Height: 2cm / 1 inch.

Diameter: 1.5cm / 0.4 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

No damage or loss.

Postage UK: £7 Royal Mail Special delivery.
