Pair of Antique Swedish Satin Birch Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

Magnificent pair of antique Swedish upholstered armchairs with satin birch frames. They have just come over from Sweden, been French polished & re-upholstered in a linen fabric. These armchairs have generous proportions & are very comfortable. As always the finish on the satin birch has that wonderful silky look with light & darker shades. They have swept over arms & well shaped legs. I would date them to around the 1890-1910 period.

Width - 26.8", 68 cm

Depth - 29", 74 cm

Height - 32.3", 82 cm

Seat height - 17.3", 44 cm
